Like you, most people seek therapy when they feel stuck and in need of a solution. You may need guidance as you seek to cope with difficult circumstances. You may need to change unhelpful habits. You may be in a life transition, and ready to take this opportunity to recreate a life more fulfilling.

I believe that each person has an innate compass that directs them towards living more fully. As your therapist, I will provide a safe and encouraging place for this to happen. I find it rewarding to sit with a fellow traveler on the journey to insight, growth, and healing.

I have experience working with the following issues:

Depression, Anxiety, PTSD, OCD, Bipolar, Adult ADD/ ADHD

Relationship conflicts at home or at work

Mid-life transitions

Life after recovery from addictions, alcoholism

Adult children and spouses/partners of substance-abusing loved ones

My work history includes eight years cumulative experience including the following: community mental health counseling, addiction counseling, and adolescent treatment. I also have over 20 years experience with Al-Anon and other 12 step programs.

I hold a Masters Degree in Counseling, and am working toward licensure. I am unable to accept insurance at this time. Hourly rate is $65.00 per 50 minute session. Sliding scale available for those in financial hardship, and I offer a 30 minute free consultation to help both of us decide whether I’m the right counselor for you.

Please feel free to call and ask for more information, and to make an appointment. I can be reached at 360-823-6088. Any information left on my voicemail is confidential.

Relationships– with ourselves, others, and the world around us– give shape and substance to our lives. When those relationships are mostly healthy, we have energy and zest for life, a general sense of optimism, capacity for creativity, and the ability to experience a wide range of emotions. When those relationships become unhealthy, though, we tend to feel exhausted, stressed, worried, scared, sad, alone, numb, broken, stuck. Does any of that sound familiar? Working together, we can begin to understand where your relationships have broken down and how you might get them back on track. I can help you get moving again on the path toward your goals, values, and dreams; toward the life you want to lead.

I work with people who have gotten “lost” on their paths due to all kinds of life events and circumstances, including depression, anxiety, chronic pain, PTSD, grief and loss, life transitions, phobias, negative body image, and the effects of sexism, racism, and/or heterosexism and homophobia. I have a special interest in working with adults who have histories of trauma, both chronic traumas like abuse and neglect as well as “one-time” traumas like assault.

I have a M.A. and Psy.D. in Clinical Psychology from the Illinois School of Professional Psychology, and I am trained in EMDR Levels I and II. My fees range from $40 to $120 based on income and availability.

It’s important to me that you feel supported and cared for in therapy, so that we can create a space in which you can be open, honest, and vulnerable. I hope you will experience me as warm, responsive, and perceptive, while also gently challenging you to perhaps think and act in some new ways.

If you are ready to re-discover your path, please call or email to set up your first appointment!
